(CBS 5 NEWS) - A pilot attempted to make a forced landing on I-17 and crashed in the median. Northbound I-17 is closed at Deer Valley and southbound I-17 is closed at Pinnacle Peak.

At least one person injured.
 
Oh good, I came on to see if you were doing touch n gos on the I-17. Looks like a Cessna. Not much left to the front end. But survivable.

Nah, I don't hit trucks when I do them. I aim for BETWEEN the trucks. ;)
 
Last updated as of the the local fox news....only one on board..the pilot in stable condition. Here is a link for an online article. The pictures on the news showed nothing left of door forward and the engine was a couple hundred feet from the rest of the aircraft. At least the pilot is getting better. Was in critical condition.
