Plane Crash-KGVL

The weather here was pretty funky yesterday, but nothing that should bring something out of the sky.

I went up yesterday in LZU, but didn't hear anything about this. Bummer.

There really aren't a lot of great options around GVL should you lose your engine.

I know one of the passengers very well.
Please wish him a speedy recovery.

It's always a tragedy when this happens, but it is even worse when we are touched individually. I fly out of GNV quite often so even I feel connected in a small way.
Best wishes to your friend and to yourself.
And condolences to the deceased and his family.

Wishing the pax a speedy recovery ,may the pilot rest in peace.

I wish that person the best. That they flew him/her out to Grady is not a good sign. Grady is where they take you when you are severely burned or have some other major trauma.

Article says the impossible turn

Maybe, but based on the the description in the article, maybe not. Not enough info in that quote. Could have been a total failure at 500 feet or could have started running rough sometime after departure and they decided to turn back when it quit.

One of my coworkers knew them. Hope the survivor recovers quickly. Condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.
