We're getting ready for our ventures out west by land in our RV. The destination is Las Vegas, and we have a full week to drive there, and wondering where to stop along the way. I'm thinking I'd like to explore Wyoming a bit more, specifically Cheyenne, if anyone has any recommendations on RV / camping destinations in southern Wyoming or Utah, or we could go the Colorado route via Denver as well. We will have more time on the return so thinking to explore California a bit, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, and Zion National Park in Utah and the Grand Canyon on the return (although we have been to GC already).

I found this beautiful state park on the side of a lake in Southwest Nebraska. I flew in to a little grass strip in a cornfield, but there was plenty of RV traffic.

Be sure to stop by the Greater Green River Intergalactic Spaceport. ;)

Hard to beat the route from SW CO- million dollar highway, telluraide, durabgo, mesa verde, moab/arches/canyonlands/bears ears NM, capitol reef

Anything worth seeing in Cheyenne? Wondering if I should do Cheyenne then pop down to Denver and this route

I’ve never spent time there- partly because rocky mtn NP is just a bit south. The road above treeline there through RMNP is a treat- lots of trail access from it, too.

Edited to add road name - trail ridge road. Be aware that in dummer, RMNP has reservations and timed entry up until 3 pm (i think that’s the time, but check first…)
