Looking to O/H my O-470R and have received several quotes. I'm looking hard at Pinnacle Aircraft Engines https://pinnacleaircraftengines.com/

Anyone with a pirep or feedback on Pinnacle?

Looking at their Mach V option: fully balance the rotating mass and rods for total weight and big end to small end, plus flow matching the cylinders.

Thanks!

Here are some comments searching through the FB group I mentioned:

"I had a phenomenal experience with Pinnacle."

"For factory. Go to Airpower. For OH, go to Pinnacle in Alabama. They are awesome and very price competitive."

Although that was the same guy both times albeit 5 months apart. Must still be happy. His would've been a Lycoming IO-540.

Huh, had no idea there was a shop like that in Silverhill, there isn't really much of anything there.

What did you decide? Did you go with Pinnacle and if so are you happy with their work?

Bump...
Any update on your engine overhaul experience with Pinnacle?
Thanks.

I have an O-320 that was overhauled by them in 2022 (prior to my ownership). So far so good.

Used them for several rebuilds when I was running a repair station. Had no problems.

Had some issues with meeting expected finish dates, but that was the height of EVERYONE having problems with supply.

Top notch work, knowledgeable and stood behind their work.
