Pre-Flight
Went to the Frankfort Indiana (FKR) Fish Friday Saturday evening.
Very nice Fly-in.
It's put on by the FBO, Airport Club, and Frankfort Police Dept. They had some aircraft on display, nothing fancy, pretty much GA stuff. The group out of Grissom, In, can't remember their name, had on of their restored Hueys there, looked like they were giving rides to some of the airport people. Had some model airplanes flying, some very nice displays from the local RC club.
The food was great, All you could eat fish and french-fries, cole slaw, and bread and butter. Sodas, (store brand), bottled water, potatoe chips, doritos, etc, couple different kinds of candy bars, and ICE CREAM!!
The best part: Totally free for us since we flew in. After we parked, two people drove up in a golf cart and said thanks for flying in, here's two free meal tickets (there was two of us) Donations accepted of course.
All in all a great trip, pretty close, about 45 minutes each way for us. And somewhat centrally located being near Lafeyette. Definitely going on my list of places to come back to!
