Piper Shimmy Damper STC

I have a Turbo Arrow III and installed the STC on the shimmy damper and it seems to be holding up just fine.

Is that the one where you can make it serviceable? Mine was done before I bought it and I've only serviced it once and that, just because I had an unrelated shimmy issue and was ruling it out.

Yeah it’s the STC that Aircraft Door Seals has on their site. I bought the STC for mine and it helped but at annual we replaced all the bushings and bolts on the linkages up there too. All is good now, no more shimmy.

My problem was the steering horn. The holes for the clevis pin were wallowed out and someone had installed some home made bushings which failed. $1000 later, my shimmy problem is gone and everything that could cause a shimmy has been serviced and/or replaced.
