This happened this morning, the clouds were low and wet, not much wind.

Not much information yet either. It went down shortly after takeoff. The single occupant, the owner/pilot, was killed.

RIP. I actually met the pilot at Pocantico Hills, decades ago, when Nelson R. was VP.
HPN is another airport where there are not a lot of options if things go sideways on takeoff. The entire area is over developed.
Once again the chest beaters and hand wringers will attack aviation and attempt to close the airport.
