Pinch hitter/Pilot companion at Oshkosh?

Does anyone know if there is a pinch hitter type course at Oshkosh?

I wouldn't want Oshkosh to be my first flight experience. A very intimidating environment to be certain.

It would be helpful to of course be in the plane in question, for any flying time.

I've always thought it best to take the companion and get them to first solo with a CFI who knows the plane and he reason for the instruction.

My logic was to get her in a class with other significant others (wives, sons, etc) that are unsure about this flying thing. Kind of a confidence and camaraderie builder. If that went well, then on to the CFI locally.
