Anyone ever get the pilotworkshops.com audio stuff? The airmanship series seems pretty good but for $200 I could fly an airplane for 2 hours! Just wondering.

I do data entry at work currently so something aviation related would be nice to listen to at work.

I just subscribed to the "IFR Mastery" series. I've only listened to two of them so far, but for $19/month they seem useful.

I used to get the free series. I have maybe 50 of them. I also bought one of their products on sale. Here is my take and I have a video collection of about 300 tapes and DVDs to compare to.

They have put together a group of competent people. The presentations are useful but mostly a dry lecture format with very basic, Powerpoint-type, visuals. Very cheaply produced. So if listening to a competent person lecture is worth whatever they are asking then they are a good value.

If it's dry then that'd probably put me to sleep faster then my job. What sort of DVD's do you like to listen/watch Alfadog?

My favorites are the one-off's like 17 Ways to Fall Out Of the Sky, anything by Rod Machado, or Barry Schiff.

For general aviation edutainment, the Wonderful World of Flying:

That was originally ABC Wide World of Flying. I have it on VHS from eBay, paid maybe $70 for the set of 23 tapes. Or less.

Otherwise, the Sporty's Air Facts tapes are good. I have maybe 40 of those. Or more, I don't count.

Also anything by AOPA like Lost and Crossed, etc.

Basically, I like vids where they actually went flying! Not fired up the Powerpoint.

For something to listen to, download Machado for $59.

I have those on cassette and he is a very good speaker and will keep you smiling.

That should get you started :D

It is a bit corny but I like vids like that. Wanna really see corny, find 17 Ways.

You might be able to get these from your local library on inter-library loan.
