I got an e-mail from the friend of a friend who needs help getting a special needs dog to a rehabilitation/rescue very soon. He has behavioral issues and can't be moved from his crate until he reaches his destination, so the transport must be accomplished all in one day. So very sad... please share and cross-posting is appreciated!

Get them in contact with Animal Rescue Flights, would be more likely to happen for a long flight like that, they are much more organized.

The "stay in the crate" requirement makes it a lot harder. It's hard to get a crate big enough for a dog of that size in and out of most light planes with the dog in the crate. You'll probably need to find folks with planes with big baggage doors, like a 58 Baron, 36 Bonanza, or PA-32 Six/Lance/'Toga.
