Pilots found guilty in Brazil collision

That's interesting - yesterday's news was they were indicted along with the controller. Now, 24 hrs later they are already convicted?

I suspect there was a deal made to allow the Brazilians to 'convict' them without them having to risk a return to that f'd up place for a full ridiculous trial and prison time.

If they did not, it would have meant looking really bad to their countrymen. Can't have that. Better to blame the foreigner; all the better that they are American.
 
My brothers former boss was abord the biz jet as a representative of the owner taking delivery. From what he told my brother the experience post landing was quite something. The Brazilian AF took all their passports AND clothes and held them on the base for about a week.
