SURVEY CLOSED.

In light of recent catastrophic fatal events in the aviation industry, including that of the GermanWings crash, I am working on a research project gathering data on pilot and cabin crew stress, and their confidence as to whether they can approach their employer about their work-related issues, and that of their work colleagues.

If you are a commercial pilot or cabin crew (or have been), I would be grateful if you could take 10 minutes to complete the following survey:

The survey will be open for about the next 4 weeks.

A link to the results to the survey will be published on this site in a couple of months’ time.

Note: if you are not a pilot or cabin crew, please don’t attempt to complete the survey. If you are interested, I can supply you with a list of the questions and/or a demo version of the survey.

Thank you in advance.

What's your background and what's the survey being used for?

Another ERAU student?

"The survey should only be completed by pilots and cabin crew."

<next>

"The survey is complete."

That was easy.

Should clarify that this is for professional pilots. Merely asking "are you a pilot here" is going to get a whole lot of yes answers.

It might be a better topic for airliners.net or some other passenger jet forum.

Hi.

My background (or current role) is I'm a pilot with EK based in Dubai. I'm also involved in Human Factors research.

The survey is for 'commercial' pilots, which is the first question in the survey.

The survey is a research project, aimed at improving safety.

Thanks.

I believe I met your brother, or cousin, or uncle. Doesn't matter. He claimed I had won a few million 'murcan dollahs and he wanted to transfer them to me if I sent him money for the transfer. But I didn't have that much money so eventually he stopped emailing me. Can you say hi from me when you see him next time?

I'm a commercial pilot, but don't fly airliners.

You need to be more specific than just 'commercial pilots'.

Depression and sucidial pilots must be running rampit in the industry, I know so because the entertainment "news" media told me!

I'd expect more from someone who claims to be a airline pilot.
