Here's a place to post your crazy pics you have or find on the interweb. Funny, odd, gross or whatever.

In this economy, there have been a lot of mergers. Car companies, banks, and now it appears, restaurants. I think I would have trouble keeping my lunch down at this place.

4. I'm a bit of a grammar snob and this sort of thing ****es me off.

Better, Henning?

That "High Desert Sport's" (spelled wrong intentionally) is in Hailey, Idaho (KSUN). When I'm there, I pass it all the time! Funny to see it here.

These are great signs. I love the Girl Scout one. Hilarious.

Sorry, but that's the funniest damn thing I've read this week. I'm not anywhere near that funny, so... I'm stealing it. :)

Favorite quote that I've stolen:

A man who wins an argument with his wife has only himself to blame.:nono:

Got a couple from the 'Kids do the darndest things' file. Note, these are NOT my kids!!

I'm a bit of an anti scrolling side to side to accommodate huge pictures posted by the oblivious snob and this sort of thing ****es me off. Have some mercy and shrink the pics to 660 or so wide.

While I agree with the point, new thread rule is you have to post a pic in order to complain!

; )

A man who argues with his wife has not yet learned to keep his mouth shut until she changes her mind in a few days and then agreeing with her is a much more relaxing and personally beneficial way to accomplish his goals.

Come on guys, use your brains, has a woman ever said anything and then not changed her opinion? Rather than disagree with what you don't agree with, wait until the option you do like comes up and agree with it when she suggests it, and she will so long as you don't.

I guess you told him!

Here's one and it's even aviation related that's boating related. Here's why you NEVER hand prop a plane. WARNING...not for the squeamish.

You scrolled down...here ya go:

Sorry, two people posted while I posted this. I meant for this to be at the bottom of the page. If it's too gross I'll pull it...sorry.

No such thing as never propping a plane. First off, make sure the plane is secure from motion. Understand the geometry of the motion you are going to use and make sure your body mass motion is never traveling on an intersecting angle with, nor rotating towards, the prop disc.

I have successfully and safely hand propped many planes over 20+ years including Rudy's Cherokee at a POA gathering on Diane's farm up to a 1340 powered Stearman that could not take the weight of the starter.
Even propped up a 421.

# 2 is in Jackson Hole Aviation over the urinal in the lobby mens room in Hangar 5... I had to frame and then hang it..:(...

Who would have thought it would have made the internet.:dunno::dunno::goofy:

Wasn't an airplane. Can't find the link now, but it was a boat prop.

Really? I'd never heard that. does make sense though, relatively shallow wounds. I'd have thought a plane prop would make a bigger mess.

I hauled a snorkler with nearly identical injuries while in Key West.

Yup.. That was where it was....:yesnod:

And the salt water made it sting too..;)

I was driving the boat he was watersking from and the idiot said " you cannot put a car engine on a plane"....:nonod::nonod::no:..

Hopefully he has learned his lesson..:rofl::rolleyes:

Okay, let's get back on track and lighten the mood. Here's one that's more appropriate.

RE: Post 27 Can we at least agree never to hand prop a boat?

Sure.....but push starting one is waaaaaaaay tougher!!! :yesnod:

But can be done!!! We were racing Ranger, an old schooner, when suddenly the engine sprang to life. It had a 6-71 with a mechanical gear box and I was just using the gear to lock the prop to save the hassle of the shaft brake for a quick race. Once I rounded the weather mark we started doing over 8 kts and that was enough pressure on the prop to start her.

 No fair using the wind!! I'll bet there were a few surprised looks being exchanged!!!!

We were beating Chance, a Santa Cruz 70 ULDB carbon racing sled with a 100 year old rotten chunk of wood and they saw our exhaust come on (took a moment for someone to get down and shut it off) and protested us! We still won and the committee dropped the protest as did the boat once they found out what happened.
