Adding to the stable of the flying club, I procured a 172N. After negotiating and communicating for almost 2 months with the seller, I put my team together - 2 A&Ps and another pilot - and we flew in the 310 to the location, they tore into the aircraft like a NASCAR pit crew while me and the other pilot dissected the log books and paperwork.
After some concerns were discovered, we came to terms on a revised (lower) price, sealed the deal and flew her home. The other pilot and one of the A&P did a turn in the pattern, and flew for an hour toward home before shutting down, a quick re-inspecting, and gave me the call that all was well.
I caught up with them after about an hour of flight time. We were able to take some great pics. Overall a very successful mission!
