Anyone have any experience with this stuff
Adding home-assistant.io running on a Raspberry Pi and a Kwikset SmartCode 916 on the building.
Benifit to this I can lock or unlock via my phone or Apple Watch or typing the code on the lock. That’s standard with these locks
Really cool part adding it to HA
If someone picks the lock or uses a magnet to force it, or any locking picking lawyer tricks it still is as a “manual open”
HA on Pi is running this
automation:
- alias: "Alert Manual Unlock (Key/Pick/Magnet)"
trigger:
- platform: state
entity_id: sensor.kwikset_smartcode_916_alarm_type # exact name in your HA
to: "22"
action:
- service: notify.mobile_app_your_phone
data:
title: "Front Door Manual Unlock"
message: "Unlocked physically (key/pick/magnet?)"
mode: single
If manual opened it sends a push and a appropriate response can be deployed.
Can also auto lock the locks after a time, or trigger other events in lock or unlock
Anyone mess with any of this stuff?
