Have seen some iconic ariel photographs from here, now took one after flying numerous touch and goes at Palo Alto last week. Had flown from home base at Oakland, the usual route, mid-span of the San Mateo Bridge, sunken ship and over the Dunbarton Bridge to PAO downwind 31.

I have often done airwork near Coyote Hills after touch and goes at Hayward, and like the look of the terrain, but had never done airwork like ground reference maneuvers.

The salt ponds (Leslie Salt) reflect the changing colors of the sky.

Nice. That view never gets old. It's even better with departures off 13 from PAO over Sunol Pass.

But it's not a bay tour. Not that it matters much.

He toured part of the bay. Just because local ATC ascribes a particular meaning to the phrase "bay tour" doesn't obligate anyone else to do so.
