Personal Headset Intercom

Hi PoA! Im flying in Africa with my girlfriend in some C206 and C208 as passengers. We were thinking on taking our headsets to the trip, as in total we will probably fly around 8 hrs in two weeks. Which would be a simple way to have coms between us? Use a VOX intercom? is there other options?
