Check page 82 of the September AOPA Pilot for a fine article on my home field, Pearson Field in Vancouver, Washington (KVUO).

Tomorrow, September 24, the airport celebrates the centennial of the first aircraft operation on the site. Festivities planned include roll-out of based aircraft, a rededication cerermony and unveiling of a new exhibit at the Pearson Air Museum. Local civic leaders and the press will be there, and we're hopeful for this to be an opportunity for the entire area to learn more about the airport's rich history and continuing value to the community.

Come on out and help us party. The ceremony starts at 12:00 noon, and there's much to see and do within walking distance of the transient tiedowns. Pearson Field may have been the best-kept fly-in secret in the northwest, but we aim to change that.
