Parahawking

I met a guy that did this same thing in Utah once. He was showing me a little "treat" gun he had made from some PVC pipe so he could reward his birds. He had quite a few birds IIRC.
 
When I was a kid we raised red tail hawks from nestling's to adults and returned them to the wild. They are so dumb when small, they have instincts, but no skills. We had to teach them how to hunt. That was an education.
