Who's heading to this? Looks like an interesting flight. Will be a new one for me, and haven't done a grass field for a while, for that matter.

Rats - I'm headed to Pella, IA that day. 5D5 is very high on my list for this year. My last attempt ended up being too wet for a decent shot.

Had a decent flight there, although 'marginal VFR'. My non-pilot passenger thought it was a neat ride - just enjoying the scenery. Nice turnout of aircraft - I'd guess around 30. Lots of local folks in attendance, and a sizable number of interesting old and newer cars on display. Surprisingly smooth runway for a grass strip. Interesting to fly there, with lake Michigan on 3 sides.
(The airport manager was very helpful, after I left my 'pilot bag' on the ground, and departed without it - shipped home in just a few days! )
I want to return next year.
