I have a mid 60s skyhawk in need of a paint job. I’d like to pick out a new design for it so if any of you have seen a high wing Cessna paint scheme that really stand out I’d love to see it. Thanks!

We did this a few months ago… love that it’s not just white gray and red anymore

Also, we were extremely pleased with Criders Paint shop in Mena Ak. We took it out there from Southern California and are very happy we did.

Except for the black, that is one of the best paint schemes I have seen on a GA airplane.

My favorite color scheme is red and black, but the black on the wheel fairings looks meh. Maybe a deep maroon instead?

Maybe something resembling the one eyed one horned flying purple people eater.??

This was done by Cliff Weaver at Circle W Restorations in East Berlin, PA. This is not my plane, but Cliff was painting mine at the time. I took the picture because I saw this airframe when it came in. It was one of the rattiest, most beaten up Cessnas I've ever seen. On her way out of the shop, she was stunning.

Paint goes a long way to improving the curb appeal of an airplane.

may I suggest a slight clarification... Good paint goes a long way to improving the curb appeal of an airplane.

A bad paint job really turns me off (and I saw a disturbing number of them when I was looking for an airplane). Do the job right or don't bother doing it at all.
