I'll go and have a look see, but it's just a modern C421. I'm constantly looking for more efficient. Even the DJet with it's 45 gph burn - remember it's getting 240 knots at that burn, so its' about the same as 30 gph at 160 knots...about like a 421, just quicker, and I hope more reliable. 24 plugs, 12 cylinders, buncha turbochargers...you end up fixing a lot, often. Sigh.

If you only want to go 160 knots you can do that in the DA-42 at 12gph.

Which is going to be at Clow on Saturday....they got another 100 mgw increase, so that means it'll really not climb on one. Sigh.

Real world from 2 days ago. Single engine above 10,000 feet with 2 people
(a little over 400lbs) was 200 fpm. A coworker of mine flew it from
Vegas to Orange County with a sales rep. It was 800 fpm just after the
sales rep shut down the critical engine. That was about 1000 AGL.

I can PM you his pilot report if you would like to read it.

Well, the DA 42s never made it to Clow. Seems they were appropriately cautious with known ice in a non known ice design.

Seneca II still has advanatages. Sigh.

The DA42 is KI in Europe and you can get the same system on your
plane in the U.S. It will eventually get certified here also.
