PA32 down GYH

Was at GMU trying to head to GYH for some pattern work when I heard some unusual stuff going on over there. Tower made it sound like this happened right after take off.

I’m sure they did, right up until they impacted the smokestack. And maybe a bit more until they ricocheted off the roof of that building.

It’s a miracle that they survived to make it to the hospital. Hopefully they both pull through.

I suspect the smokestack and roof top impacts absorbed a lot of energy. Especially if there was an engine problem and he was flying at a relatively low airspeed.
