PA28 down at Sandusky, OH

Interesting damage pattern; looks as if he clipped something immoveable with the right wing. But doesn't really look like it was flown to a stop.
 
Don't think I've ever seen a wing shear off like that.

A tree stump will do it, but it takes a bit of energy (speed.) At lower speeds the plane will just spin. I've seen the aftermath of that.
 
Hopefully the pilot will have a quick and complete recovery. Will be interesting to read the accident report.
