Having a bit of trouble finding a step by step on this. Anyone got advice or some product installation instructions for the process?

Looking to replace the door window with new glass with a vent window.

Thanks--

Should be in maintenance or repair manual. What does your mechanic say?

2019 Service manual, 4-33 Removal of Side Windows. Exploded picture of the door in the 2013 Parts manual.

DIY

Or, what I did because I didn't know there were videos. Took me an afternoon to do both sides (4 windows)

1) Get a copy of the parts catalog PART NUMBER 753 582, year 2013. The 2009 version isn't as detailed.
2) reference is figure 24-11 in the door trim, 24-15 is the window
3) remove the screws holding the door trim
4) remove the window. Might be difficult because of old age of the sealant holding the window & door trim.
5) clean the door trim and the interior of the door to make sure all the old sealant is removed. Plastic putty knife very useful.
6) I repeat - clean the door trim and the interior REALLY GOOD!
7) helps to have someone to hold the window while you deal with the sealant.
8) dry fit the new window.
9) Not kidding - dry fit the window before you do anything else.
10) don't forget the foam that comes with the windows - why? so that the window doesn't rattle and they don't leak
11) Choose your sealant. Piper uses a white sealant Bostik 1100FS Fast Set Polyurethane Sealant. I used a black 3M product, wish I hadn't.
DO NOT USE ANYTHING SILICONE!!!!!
12) put the sealant on the door, not the door trim, not the window. Be very, very careful
13) Get your friend to hold the window in place, install the frame
14) clean up any goop - DO NOT USE ACETONE! I waited until everything dried then used a plastic putty knife - very carefully to remove excess.
15) Step back, admire your work, take your friend for a beer.

Better solution - talk to your A&P for an estimate.
