My Tivo caught The Horsemen Cometh this evening. http://www.wttw.com/main.taf?p=7,13,1,6 about the Horsemen Aerobatic Formation Team that flies P-51s and Bearcats. Worth a watch if you can find it. It is also available for $30 with an accompanying audio CD at http://www.airshowbuzz.com/go/artic...men/252373/horsemen_cometh_documentary_on_pbs. Found out that James Horner the composer is a pilot and flies back seat with them sometimes. He also composed music for them.

The show will be on PBS stations across the U.S. with multiple air dates and times.
Example: Alabama Public Television will air Jan 10, 16 and 30. Search your local station for air times

And here, unlike Red Tails, you get to hear the Merlin and see proper flying and landing! They also have segments with the Blues and performming at Duxford.

Very nice flying scenes and scenery. The flights over Southern England were very impressive.

There's also a segment on the Heritage Flights.

Nice aircraft in fantastic condition -- the only question that kept rolling around for me was "Who's paying for all this?? Bill or Warren or the Sultan of Whatsit??"

Missed it this morning now if only I can figure out how to program my VCR before tomorrow night at 6pm so that when I get home from the airport it will be waiting for me on VHS. I think I can wing it. LOL.

If you can't find it on broadcast TV, you can purchase a copy with the accompanying audio CD for $30.

Got home way too late and missed it. Then again, I got to be PIC on an "unexpected" flight. The best kind. I hope it airs soon as a repeat, it looked amazing.

Oh hell...

I just happened to be flipping channels about to head to bed and this came on at 2AM on KRMA.

No reply from them when I asked if it would re-air, but here it is!

Not gonna get much sleep tonight! ;) ;) ;)

Haven't you people been exposed to the wonders of DVR?

Got rid of mine when I went to off-air antenna quite some time ago as a method of getting my ass off the couch back then. TV generally... is a huge time-sink for no long-term gain. If I really want to watch something (Flying Wild Alaska, for instance), I buy it for the Apple TV. Saves hundreds a year over the previous setup with Dish...

Excellent vid. Saw them perform in 2007 at the Gathering of Mustangs & Legends air show. Lighting was horrible but it was "the place to be" that year.

Jim Beasley who flys with them is a high powered lawyer from Philadelphia. His father was a well known lawyer who made millions litigating. I saw jim at an airshow at new garden airport in penna. a few years back. He was really good! He flys P51 "Bald Eagle" . Another member is from that general area, Ed Shipley, who flew for an airline for a time. He flew a decathlon years ago starting out. Later had a T-6 at new garden. I think another member is a war bird collector from Texas, millionaire who may be in oil business. You may also like to google grace spitfire, and get a load of this 60 year old woman who flys a spit and does the whole 9 yards.
