EdFred's been gone for about the same timeframe too. He regularly takes a break though.

Hope Tom's OK. He has a lot to offer when he's not in "Ask a question, then tell everyone their answers are dumb." mode.
 
I was curious about what happened to Three Finger. Just up and left.
 
Tom may have been condisending, and could be considered pompous,you just have to weigh what he has to say ,against other opinions.'
 
Maybe they ran over to the new spin zone site. ?
I popped in over there to lurk for a bit and saw some really ugly things said about some people here and decided to not go back.

I did recognize a lot of names. Maybe some have opted to go there in place of here.

I have stopped in there and NEVER seen any "ugly" things said about people here...:no::no:..

Didn't even see a thread about some spoiled guy here that complained about having used rubbers thrown on his lawn and needed advice about web cams...

And that rocket scientist is a self proclaimed IT specialist....:rolleyes::rolleyes::redface:

I dunno, everyone has different standards. I have never called anyone a **** and meant it in a non-ugly way. Actually I have never called anyone that. Whatever day I hopped over there, I clicked a link and that was the first thing I read along with a handle and a first name.

I read all your posts in Ted Stryker's voice and it would ruin the illusion to find out you don't look and sound like him.

No, not at all, black people use that word in self-reference as a tool of liberation and empowerment. They take a word that has held them down for decades and throw it back in whitey's face.

When you say it we know what you mean...and it's not meant in an endearing, liberating or empowering manner. For you to even try to defend your used of the word tells us all we need to know about you. As I said, with you here, we'll never even notice that FC is gone.

Regarding Tom-D. I'm not a fan. But in this case I hope he files and wins his lawsuit.

So funny. When I first posted on PoA about my concerns about my husband's flying, some pretty harsh stuff showed up along with those giving thoughtful replies. I ignored the harsh stuff and gave lots of thought to the rest.

Same in the SZ on other issues. And now, same in Pilot Spin.

Thank goodness I grew up in the real world and have some coping skills.

What happened to Kimberly. I didn't get on here for ~6 months and she disappeared sometime within that span.

I saw Kimberly the last time I was in San Francisco, a couple months ago. We didn't really discuss POA. I don't think she's posted here for at least a couple years.
