Oshkosh Tower...Live!

With AirVenture 2006 in Oshkosh beginning just tomorrow, I wanted to post a really cool link.

As you may or may not know, I am affiliated with LiveATC.net, a free service that consists of hundreds of volunteers around the world that provide Live ATC transmissions from around the globe. One of those "feeding" locations is Oshkosh, WI and I have spoken with the volunteer feeder who has programmed in the Oshkosh AirVenture Tower, Ground, and Departure monitor frequencies for the duration of the show.

Woops, didn't see his thread, it wasn't clear in the title, so I must have skipped it. The Oshkosh feed has actually been around since early January of this year and I was able to listen to it before it even went live on the site. I'm closely involved with the owner of the site (LiveATC.net) and I thank Jim, the Oshkosh feeder very much for providing the live entertainment <g>.

P.S. I have a good excuse though for not posting this earlier (than mark)! I was sitting in seat 42F on a NWA 757-200 from DTW to MKE, yup the last row of the plane. ...and for the reason I was sitting in 42F...well I'm in now in Kohler, WI, and tomorrow is Oshkosh AirVenture 2006, and I'm really physced (sp?)!!!

My computer keeps timing out when attempting to access the OSH feed. I can get the live.atc home and "top feeds" pages but none of the actual feeds that I've tried from the top feeds list. Running Firefox 1.0.6

Same for me and I am using I.E.

Edit: I think I figured out my problem. I am at work and they have blocked all ports expect the regular internet port (can't remember what that is). The link for all of the streams uses port 8012.

P.S., All feeds have alternate URLs for those behind restricting firewalls. You can find that in the feed listing and Oshkosh is listed under "Class D" airports. Just do a search on that page for "OSH" or scroll down to "O" (the feeds appear alphabetically).

I also couldn't get the audio to load by clicking the link. However, when I right clicked and chose "open in new window" the problem went away. Worth a shot anyway. BTW, I'm using IE.
