I wonder how far it would have flown without that booster jet? 
With only 24 horsepower to make an ornithopter fly, I suspect not very far. Interesting though.

"Flying" in ground effect for a few seconds until it breaks up, I dunno but the developer might want to hold off on that 'realizing a dream' part for awhile?
