Orioles' charter "free falls" to emergency landing

Looks like there was smoke coming out of one of the galley ovens, so they made an emergency landing...according to one of the Orioles' staff members on the flight:

"They came on and told us we needed to make an emergency landing, and then we were nearly free-falling for a few minutes as they raced to get us on the ground as fast as possible."

Ahh yes, multi million dollar pro athletes with superior reflexes and eye hand coordination and they get all freaked out over a one G descent maneuver...

They need to ride with me on my typical landings - the Vomit Comet's got nothing over me......
