Ordered My Whelen's!

Hi Guys,

I just recently purchased a '68 Cherokee 180D and loving every minute of flying this thing. I am planning on doing a few upgrades and one thing was replacing the beacon and adding a nav/strobe package (only has nav lights). I just purchased these Whelen's. I have heard good things, but let me know what you guys think.

I really like LEDs but would love for the FAA to pass that Certifed Non Commercial thing so the price of a simple lighting fixture would not be so insanely high!

Those strobes are conventional Comet Flash. The 4-flashes from the CF system is the best I know of. I've never had to replace a position light element so the LED thing isn't a big deal to me. Personally I'd have used an equally effective 70509 flasher on the tail and saved almost $500. In fact I did.

Good lord. $1200 each side for the nav light + strobe?
Is there the option for just adding the Comet Flash strobes that includes a tail strobe?

1200 is for the kit to do both sides and includes the power supply for the strobes - (reading is more than fundamental)
