I've done my research and decided the new EX60 P10 Ultra would make my ground missions more enjoyable. I took a test drive and placed the order last week. I have an opportunity to make any configuration changes, or add any accessories, by September 13, 2026. Delivery will be around Christmas.

I ordered the P10 Ultra model, with the Forest Lake exterior color, and the light interior, called Dawn.

Technically, I guess I didn't really order it. I went to Penske Volvo in the City of Industry, California, and I was able to use one of their allotments. They only asked for a reasonable and refundable down payment, and I was happy to oblige.

The sales manager Tony and my salesman Patrick were great!

Attached is the window sticker of the demo car, basically the exact same car I want, only this demo car did not have the Dawn interior.

I will keep you posted here on how all this goes!

Congrats - let us know what you think. We're in the market for a small SUV and the EX60 is on the list.

22s. It's gonna look great.
Congrats and enjoy every drive.

Please return with a PIREP once you get it! My parents had a Volvo growing up, and I ended up with one a few cars ago. Had it for 8 years, and I was quite happy with it. I'd certainly consider another one.

I had a 2017 XC90 T8. Loved it. Loved it so much I ended up trading it in for a 2020 XC90 T8. The latter had the massage seats and although the massage aspect was nice, the seats themselves without massage on, were not as comfortable as the 2017.

For the last 3 years I've been driving a Rivian R1. Waiting on delivery of a R2 but I'm going to cancel that and stick with the EX60. I now want luxury over adventure so plan to sell the R1 or trade it in...

Volvo used to have a deal where you could order the car, take delivery in Sweden, drive around for a few weeks, take it back, and they’d load it on the ship for delivery. And they would cover some of the costs (insurance and some hotels).

Always thought that would be pretty cool.

I'd be curious who the runners up were. we'll be in this market again in a year or two, and the EX's have been compelling.

I can’t be the only one who remembers the scene from the movie Crazy People:

Although the Jaguar ad pitched in the same movie was perhaps more memorable

My 1971 142E Volvo (with a/c, overdrive) cost me $3300 then. Still is my daily driver with 598,000 miles on the odometer. Original engine with Bosch fuel injection, transmission and a/c. Mostly I do the maintenance now (can't find mechanics who know old cars). When I look under the hood of my wife's 2004 Volvo S40 I don't recognize anything! So I'm just as happy keeping the 142E running.

@FPK1 , ah, so you're the one who bought a Volvo this year, lol. Just messin', I just don't see very many new Volvos. Kind of a tight demographic for people who typically value reputation for safety over all else.

My dad bought his first Volvo in 1969. It was out first car with shoulder harnesses. Heck, it was our first car with seatbelts! I remember feeling like an astronaut riding in the back seat.
He owned three over his lifetime. Fine automobiles.
