Has anyone ever flown an approach in actual IFR with one of those VAL all-in-one CDI/Nav radios?
It doesn't seem like a string of LED lights would provide the same level of information as you get from flying the needles of a traditional CDI. But, they're out there, and they're certified, so they must work, right?
