I just read in the new EAA "Light Plane World" newsletter, Operation Migration's hangar in Necedah, WI had their hangar broken into recently, and items were stolen and vandalized. Quite a shame. This is the organization that is working on restoring migrating flocks of whooping cranes.
I am a member of the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo where the cranes are born and raised. This is a really good group of guys and they have been behest by bad luck. A few years ago the first migratory group that they had settled in Florida was destroyed by a really bad storm and now this, senseless, crime.
Shamefully reprehensible.
