Operation Glider Butt Freeze

It only took three hours and a member's truck with plow to dig out enough for my friend in Denver to go flying at the Black Forest Soaring Society at Kelly Airpark. That's why they call it a passion 'cause otherwise it's just plain (plane?) crazy!

We were flying on Saturday, a little warmer, 50F, 5knt north breeze, but no lift.
We were without our Pawnee since Veteran's Day. Just got it back. Taking care of the Horz Tail AD.

I've thought about retiring near that club, or at least stopping by for a visit, but I'll wait until warmer weather.

That's only about 15 miles from my house. It really wasn't that cold today but still....

I guess because he has brakes on he is landing. Next picture...how'd he end up departing the cleared strip and end up on top of the snow?

Now...what altitude was the tow? How long the flight after tow?

Air brakes/spoilers out, landing , yes.
About 30 pictures between the landing (192) and the last picture posted (222), so I would figure the glider is not on the runway. But had been moved back towards the hanger.
Also an optical illusion, it's not "on snow" but in a cleared area with the wing tip down, look at the people's boots.
