Anyone know of any open source Powerpoint clone? I'm familiar with OpenOffice Impress, but are there any better ones?
I have the viewer. I need to create a couple presentations, but this need only arises once in a blue moon, so I'm willing to put up with kludgy.I thought Google had an open source tool for reading powerpoint files. I seem to recall a thread on this a few months back.

If you simply want to view .ppt files, you can use a viewing tool from Microsoft.
