Open House at EQY (Monroe NC) this Saturday The city of Monroe NC (just east of Charlotte)is having an open house this weekend at EQY from 9 to 4. Our flying club will be grilling hot dogs and the city will also provide drinks and BBq. I'm planning on attending for a couple of hours around noon to help with the dogs so if you are in the neighbr hood, stop by. (in this case, the neighborhood being defind a couple of states. ) If you are flying in EQY is under a shelf outside the class B airspace. The ceiling (floor?) is 3500 feet. (last time I looked) So if you come in from the north or east or south you can easily skirt the class B.
