Online Instrument Sim

I just got x-plane 9 for $15 used on Amazon. Pretty sweet for IFR, and the 172 panel is close enough to mine for practice. My 15 year old joystick still works too.

If it's only "close enough", you always have the option of modifying the panel to reflect your real-world one. Not as hard as people make it out to be.
You can also drop in the right simulated GPS or HSI to match yours.

It has a six pack, and two ILS's. I have a six pack an ILS, and a localizer. Also I have Narco digital radios and this has old King's. This is an SP, and mine is a 172B with 145HP, so I'll just throttle back a bit to go 95 kts instead of 120-ish. Love the ability to make multiple cloud layers, mess with visibility, etc.

In the old flight simulators I spent a ton of time designing my own planes. Now all my free time is studying the IFR or building a real one. No time left to play with flight simulators (other than IFR practice).
