Stolen painting worth $1 million found in trash

It's another... You can't make this stuff up!

A painting stolen more than 20 years ago was found lying in trash along a street, and now it could fetch up to $1 million at an auction.

Elizabeth Gibson didn’t know anything about the brightly colored work she spotted on her morning walk four years ago on Manhattan’s upper West Side, but she said she took it home because “it had a strange power.”

the principal cellist for the LA Phil had his Stradivarius cello taken from the front porch of his home (and his brain dead forgetting and leaving the cello on the front porch is a whole NOTHER discussion!!)(I mean, how do you DO that???). The million dollar cello was grabbed by a guy on a bicycle and taken away. It was recovered when a woman FOUND IT IN AN ALLEY (possibly in the dumpster) and took it home. Luckily she found out what it was and turned it in ... she and her boyfriend WERE PLANNING TO TURN THE MILLION DOLLAR CELLO INTO A CD RACK.
