When I was emptying out Atlas for a showing, I removed the back seat pair of Zulu headsets that my kids used to share.
For whatever reason, one of the battery boxes was, for lack of a better term, gooey. It was as if someone had wiped it with a caustic chemical, turning the plastic to a sticky, icky mess.
It still worked, but obviously something was going on with the plastic. I was able to clean it, with multiple applications of Goof Off, but what was left was badly pitted.
Additionally, the ear pieces, after so many years, were disintegrating. And, oh, the cord was cut, obviously slammed in the door.
So, I called Lightspeed. Back in their "bad old days", this was a regular occurrence (their early headsets were notoriously fragile and unreliable), but since the Zulus, I have never had to call them.
They listened to my odd tale, gave me an RA number, and told me to send 'em in.
They arrived back today, looking like George Washington's ax, but with a new handle and a new head.
. They literally replaced everything with new.
In fact, there's no way to really tell if they didn't simply send me a new pair, for free.
I simply can't say enough about their customer service. They've never let me down, and I've owned Lightspeed headsets since their very first models...
