I'm trying to look up some FSS comm frequencies. My current AFD is in my plane. When I went on line to check the digital AFD that the FAA has put up I couldn't find the FSS Comm Freqs section. Is it on line?

Thanks

Yes. Pick your state and click on "Supplemental" above the list of airports.

Where? In the box / area that says "Enter the search options"? I'm just not seeing it, on Internet Explorer or Firefox. I can click Texas or select Texas from the "Select a State" dropdown, I don't see anything about "Supplemental" on the page or in any of the drop downs.

EDIT: Never mind, I see you have to pick the State, then click Search... THEN you can see "Legend" and "Supplemental" at the top of the list. Thanks!

I just use Airnav. I am pretty sure it gets a lot of its data fromt eh same source as the AFD.
For some reason they never bothered to include FSS frequencies

That's why I like Skyvector, it has the exact page as printed from the AFD/supplement along with other information. Though Airnav has other things that are useful too.

AirNav gets the info from the FAA ATS-100 data. You can subscribe to get it on CD by mail. The last I heard it wasn't available online except by a few benevolent web sites.

You have to request it, but you can get the data online...it's not pretty, and you need to do some processing to get it, but you can get the "56-day" data set from the FAA online...gotta find out where to go for it...its around here somewhere.

EDIT: Found it...http://nfdc.faa.gov/portal Then you want the Facility Aeronautical Data Distribution system. You'll have to request access, but they haven't charged me anything for it...

I'm using it to build a personal A/FD for Amazon Kindle myself, where I can put a start-end point, it resolves the great-circle route, and finds all airports (including private) within a given distance, and gives me a nice clean A/FD info set for each one.
