Ohio Crash - Family of Four, Fatal

Dayum...I guess I am just too new a pilot to ever consider doing that.

A good friend (who owns several airplanes and a helicopter and has thousands of hours of flight time) once told me that if you have no where to go in a hurry, fly a GA plane.

Of course I know what he meant by that....be prepared to land and wait the weather out if it is bad. Do NOT make definitive plans..if you have to do that, drive.

I am sorry for the loss of the family. :(
 
About this same time last year a similar crash happened out here in CA. 4 on board a 172, NEW pilot, bad weather, and at night. Very sad.

I see Lisa reported another plane down in Austin. We've also got a news report of another plane down here in the bay area.
