Oh, hail....

Why would they even push back with a thunderstorm on top of them? Wow. Crazy

To help their "on-time" stats. :mad2:

That, and..... I "think" most crews time clock starts when the cabin door closes and /or the brakes release........

Altho not that it would have mattered , unless there was a hangar they could have taxied into..... Their plane was gonna get the crap beat out of it regardless where it was on the ramp...

Probably hoping they could get out before the storm hit... been there done that, and most of the small airports like that you're not putting it in a hangar.

Or be in a position to jump onto the runway and leave at the first chance.

A few years ago, while flying to our vacation spot, the flight crew ask us if we wanted to wait until the storm past or board and wait on the taxiway. Everyone voted for waiting on the taxiway. We ended up not having to wait that long on the taxiway.

I have friends that told me crews will taxi as slowly as possible to extend their block time. They will either do this to get more pay or to waste duty time so they can time out. Lately the crews, according to some friends, have been doing it to FAR 117 their duty time to stick it to management.

Wow!!!

If over 50% of the skin was dented would this plane be totaled?
