Maybe we should each pick one subject we don't know anything about and start making off the wall gross generalizations. That should be fun

I know it was a joke, but this actually sounds like a fun idea....I'll start:

I think its interesting that people that can vegetables and fruits are such off the wall hippies to think that they are actually making a difference. The amount of preservatives they are adding to their canned concoctions is causing more disease than any processed food readily available at the grocery market could ever claim to be responsible for.

It's flat in Ohio.

Oh wait...

Generally, a turd flung at the wall will fall off at some point.

Nick do you actually know anything about canning? People canning at home are not adding preservatives. Canned fruit, tomatoes, etc are acidic enough it's not a problem. Less acidic things can be canned with a pressure cooker. No preservatives are needed.

Disregard. I missed the entire point of this thread. lol

In Other Words, NEVER set your quadrant at "Idle Cut Off" --- the leanest of lean of peak conditions!
;)

Shortly after a friend of mine bought his Cheyenne (moving up from an Aztec), he was flying along, reached cruise, and pulled the red levers and started to pull them back.

Yeah, he hit lean of peak alright...

"Nebraska CFIs don't read thread titles before posting."

ROFL... kidding... heh... kidding... :) :) :)

(It was just BEGGING for that, wasn't it? Hahaha...)

You must fill your 20 gal tank at the end of the flight, else condensation will fill it with water, and on your next flight you will die!

Descending quickly from 10,000 feet in your Cessna 150 with its 100 hp engine will shock cool your engine, creating massive damage and require a complete overhaul.

Flying lean of peak . . . oh, wait . . . the horrible consequences of that has already been given in vivid detail. Oh, the humanity!

Leaning on the ground will cause massive overheating and engine damage.

In the winter you need to warm up the car's engine. You'll damage the engine if you start it and then immediately drive away.

We made her [the alien] a female because women are docile and easy to handle. (From Species, the movie.)

All of Sac's posts are well reasoned and insightful... :D

Don't worry the price of gas will come down when the US is a major supplier of oil again. The FAA will truly be warm and friendly. Congress will live by the laws they pass .

Cold fronts are the cause of you getting bumped around in steep turns.

(ROFL... Couldn't resist.)

Forward slips with flaps will cause the wingtips to tear the space-time continuum and end all existence as we know it.

Or, if you can't jettison the wings, find two trees properly separated and fly between them, knocking off the wings prior to the crash.

I know someone who did that in a Cessna 320. Escaped with just bumps and bruises.

You can't take off from a treadmill and hot dogs should never have ketchup. ;)
