Best wishes to the SIL and the procedure, Tom. I can expect that it's been a long haul. I have a 2nd cousin, 18 years old, who's been waiting for a donor for four years. Her family has been burdened with the insurance company's "Patient has exceeded the policy's lifetime payout" clause. We(all) extended families have been helping with related costs for a long time.
