Hello, I'm having an Aspen PFD installed on my composite airplane and I wanted to avoid making holes in the fuselage to mount the RSM, so we put the RSM inside the tail of the aircraft. The setup works very well except for the OAT which of course measures the temperature inside the tail and not that of the air outside. The wrong temperature will cause incorrect TAS readings, which is what bugs me.

The plane has a Davtron temperature probe installed and we noticed that the GTX 335 transponder in the plane has an OAT input that works with the Davtron probe. If we connect the temperature probe to the GTX 335, which is connected to the GNS430W, which is connected to the Aspen PFD, do you think the Aspen will receive the OAT over the ARINC bus?
