NY woman celebrates 100th birthday with sky dive

Nice. For my mother's 80th birthday, I sent her on a hanggliding tandem flight.

I'm glad to hear things went well for her, I'd be a little concerned about bone breakage at age 100. On the other hand, nobody lives forever and it's better to get out there and go down swinging than to hide from life and wait for the grim reaper in your bed.

great,what an adventure.

Really. There's no prize for having the best-preserved corpse in the graveyard.

This is a better article that I missed until this morning:

http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/100-year-old-woman-skydives-for-birthday-bucket-5880798.php

The other one was an AP article. This one was written locally.

According to the article, Cunningham has five children, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, many of whom were present for the jump. Judging by the tone of the article and the expressions on the kids' faces, they're supportive of and inspired by her unconventional old-age lifestyle choices, rather than thinking that she's just a crazy old lady.
