Hi everyone I own a Cessna 172 1960. MY annual is coming up in December and Looking for reputable shop. All I am looking for is Honest shop where price is Fair. Thanks I am located Hudson Valley NY Region I am willing to fly to PA CT NY MA.

I’m in the Hudson Valley. I take my airplane to Kari at Tally-Ho in Danbury, CT. KDXR. Highly recommend him.

Luke Giroux at KFZY, Oswego County Airport might be just the right guy. Great work, reasonably priced. They take their time and do the job right. Great shop!

Agree on Giroux. Also can reach out to Bentley Aviation in Oneonta, NY. Also do the job right.

You could try sandpiper in New Bedford Ma. Kewb. Very far and knowledgeable.

Have also heard good things about Tall Ho k Dr.

I doubt you'd get in at this short notice, but if you want to go down to Trenton-Robbinsville, NJ (N87), I can highly recommend Air Mods & Repair. I went to them when I lived back east because the are a Mooney Service Cntr (wish I still could!). But they work on all sorts of planes and have the Civil Air Patrol contract for their Cessnas. And Dave has been around for a while, so he's probably well versed in the older 172s and has probably seen it all.

I'll second that. His shop does good avionics work, too. Not to mention a bang-up job replacing the last few bits of plastic interior that I didn't have time to do myself. (And it is a PITA.) Our local shop is also quite good (Eagle Flight, KVGC) but he is quite busy with local aircraft.

Griggs in PA. For an old model Cessna, all I see in their shops are tail wheel Cessnas, the '58-'61 182s, and a bunch of 210. They do the eagle 210 conversion.

I also like my home base place but he's so full of work it's months out to schedule something.

I was at Griggs last week for a transponder cert. He did my panel.- Very happy, and they always answer the phone.
shop is always full- last week he had a Tiger, a Seneca, a 310, and several Cessnas in there as well as my Saratoga
