NWS Skywarn Storm Spotter Training

I was a spotter in AR. Look up....green sky, your screwed. Saw it twice. Glad I'm gone from there.
 
NWS guy just answered a question someone asked about a green sky and said that it has no bearing for tornadoes. Said it might have something to do with hail though. I have seen it once and it was downright eerie.

He said mammatus clouds don't have a bearing on severe weather either. I saw those at the same time!
