The mechanical HSIs first released in the late 90s?

Most folks are trash canning them for newer solid state stuff when they fail.

I have an NSD360A that I pulled to install a Garmin G5 HSI. The NSD360A was working pretty well but had suffered from a couple brief hiccups of the compass card not rotating. My research suggested it may be a relatively easy fix but given the advent of G5's, Aspens, etc... it's not worth fixing. Yeah, what Denver said.
